🦆 Changing your legal name
Your legal name is part of your T2 Certified Duckling identity. If your legal name has changed — for example, due to marriage, court order, or deed poll — you can request an update here.
⚠ T2 certificate re-issuance required
Your current T2 birth certificate is tied to your existing legal name. A legal name change will require a new certificate to be issued. Your old certificate will be marked as superseded — not revoked.
How the process works

Submit your request
Contact Space Duck support with your current duckling ID, your old name, and your new legal name.

Identity verification
Our team will verify your identity against your existing T2 record. This typically takes 1–3 business days.

Government ID upload
You will be asked to provide a copy of a government-issued document showing your new legal name. (Automated upload available in Galaxy 1.2.)
4
New certificate issued
Once approved, your profile is updated and a new T2 birth certificate is issued under your new name.
